The Toy Man Product Guide has selected Gold Mine as one of the top 10 products of Q4 2010. The selection is based on a comprehensive evaluation process that includes "random public hands-on evaluation, independent evaluator reports, analysis of functionality and psychological response results in addition to multiple other evaluation elements."

According to the Toy Man (Rev. James G.W. Fisher), the Top 10 Award "represents the products and/or online services which have not only passed our strict evaluation standards yet didn't stop there. These inductees were selected by our independent evaluators as the ones that pave the way for others to follow. These are the inductees that set the bar which encourages those to follow to match or exceed."
